Safeguarding Children from Racial Trauma is about supporting parents and carers to understand how racial discrimination impacts our children of colour and how they can experience trauma as a result of microaggressions and abuse bases on the colour of their skin or their ethnicity. This course looks at the effect of racism on a young person's health and wellbeing and the role of parent's foster parent/carer and professionals to safeguard and protect as they would with any other safeguarding issues. This is a safe space to learn explore and gain understanding to how to support our children's physical and emotional wellbeing. Racism as no colour barrier as it affects us all.
